Little Explorers (Ages 3-5)

Keep your 3 to 5-year olds moving this summer. South Windsor Parks and Recreation invites our youngest campers to Little Explorers Camp. The weekly routine at the Community Center is set up to meet our youngest campers needs.


Registration begins in March and is open to residents of South Windsor only. Camp fills quickly, so be sure to register early.

Accreditation & Training

Though state accreditation of our camps is unavailable, this camp is ACA Accredited. Be sure to check out our staff that helps makes this program great!

Age Requirements

To ensure safety and appropriateness of all programs, we maintain strict age guidelines for all camps. If your child is turning 3 during a camp week, they can sign up for Little Explorers starting that session. If your child is turning 6 during a camp week, they can attend Little Explorers until that session is over. 



Choose any or all of our 8 1-week sessions. Our 3 camp options will fit your needs.

  3. 5 Half Day Option
Your little camper will attend 3 mornings of camp and enjoy activities with their new friends.

Days & Times

This option runs Tuesday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon.


Sessions A-H for this option are $110.

Staff & Activities

This program will be led by Kelly Sivo. Kelly is a veteran staff member with the South Windsor Parks & Recreation Department and is extremely excited to take on this new leadership tole! She is currently the Site Director for More Mighty Mites basketball and has previously worked as a counselor for Little Explorers, Camp Discovery and Junior Adventurers. Kelly is a graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University and is currently working towards attaining her Master of Social Work Degree from UConn. And yes, preschool-goers, she is Mrs. Sivo's daughter!
Kelly, as well as her energetic staff, will guide your children through fun filled days involving:

- Weekly Themes & Spirit Days
- And so much more!


Camp on Wednesday morning is held at Veteran's Memorial Park. Drop off for all campers and pick up for half day campers will be at Veterans Memorial Park.

Potty Training

All campers must be potty trained.
