Full Moon Walk at Nevers Park 
Come out and enjoy beautiful Nevers Park by moonlight, walk the trails and bring your own beverage to enjoy by the fire afterwards. Meet at Rotary Pavilion at 8:00pm. 
Farmers Market at Community Center 
Saturdays, 10am-1pm, the market offers the freshest locally owned seasonal produced foods and products by Connecticut artisans. Season begins June 17.
Concerts at Evergreen Walk Park 
Thursdays 7pm-9pm, located near L.L. Bean. This outdoor summer concert series, presented by United Bank,  is a Recreation mainstay in the South Windsor Community. Enjoy extra entertainment this summer to celebrate our 30th anniversary of the Concert Series (Series starts June 22)
Movies at Wapping Park 
Fridays at 8:30pm, located in the Wapping courtyard ( behind Wapping school), join us we show great family flicks on our ENORMOUS screen. Thank you South Windsor Dairy Queen for sponsoring the Friday Flicks!
Pluck a Duck
VMP will be filled with Rubber Duckies. Win Prizes! All Patrons are eligible. Game rules available at VMP the day of the event. 
Kids' party at Boundless Playground
Enjoy the great " My Friends Place" playground at Nevers Parks, as we celebrate a fun summer night with music and prizes. 6:00-7:30. 
Workout Wednesdays

Sundae Sunday
Paid patrons to VMP can enjoy a make your own ice cream treat while supplies last, beginning at 12:00pm. Sponsored by Imperial Oil & Plumbing. 
Park's Brigade
Get caught using one of our many parks. Benny & the fits ( our marketing team) will be out at the parks rewarding lucky park visitors with great prizes like "06074" t shirts. 
Veterans Appreciation at VMP
Veterans and families enjoy FREE and exclusive early admission (10am). Veterans are invited for the day and benefit from a beautiful park, pool, family activities and free refreshments.Veterans must show proof of military ID or DD-14.  
Yappy Hour & Woodstock
Attention: Four legged friends! Lead your owners to South Windsor's Bark Park on Chief Ryan Way in South Windsor CT for 2 FREE nights of music and friends! Socialize and relax at  Yappy Hour on July 12! Dig out the tye- died gear and enjoy a flashback of music and fun at Woofstock on July 25! Any pooches out there cool enough for tye-die?? BYOB. Beer  and wine are allowed at the Bark Park for these events. All other South Windsor Bark Park rules apply. 6:00-8:00pm
Senior Sunday at VMP 
Free early (10 am) admission to VMP for South Windsor senior citizens (over 62).. Make your own ice cream sundae bar beginning at 12pm for seniors while supplies last. Transportation is available, please call 860-648-6361 by July 20th to schedule a ride. Thanks to the Human Services department for the support with this event.  
SWPRD Scavenger Hunt
Stop by our office at 50 Nevers Rd. any day in July and pick up details regarding the month long scavenger hunt.  Get to know your parks!  Office hours: M-F 8:00am-4:30pm
Bike Nights
Meet at Rye St. Park to learn basic bicycle safety skills and take a ride on the park's new mountain bike trails.  Bikes and helmets available.  Ages 12+.  Helmets required. 
Coed Open Gym
Enjoy some pick up basketball at Ellsworth Gym at 1737 Main St. 6:00-7:30pm.  Please note age restrictions for each date. 
Parks' Brigade
