Meet your favorite 4th "R" Staff
Brooke Smith- Site Director
Joined the 4th team during the winter of 2008 as an Assistant Supervisor. This is her fourth year as Pleasant Valley's Site Director. She also has worked in several other child care settings for the past ten years. She graduated from Manchester Community College in May 2008 and graduated from the University of Connecticut this past May. Brooke holds a Bachelor's Degree in General Education with a Focus of Human Services. She also has been certified as with the State of Connecticut as a Designated Head Teacher in School Age Child Care.
Nino Pettinato - Inclusion Specialist
Hi my name is Nino Pettinato and I am the Assistant Site Supervisor at Pleasant Valley. This is my first year with 4th ‘R’, but I have worked for the past six years (and continue to do so) for East Hartford Parks and Recreation as a camp counselor, lifeguard, and coach for both Special Olympics and youth basketball. This Winter/Spring I will be going back to school for my EMT certification. I am extremely excited about this opportunity to work at 4th "R" and very much looking forward to working with the children and staff!
Sarah Marquis- Assistant Director
Sarah has worked for the 4th "R" for three years. She started in April of 2010 as and aide and has worked her way up to be the assistant director. She is currently attending CCSU and plans to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Social Work.
Steven Capobianco- Program Leader
This is my second year at the 4th "R". I recently graduated from South Windsor High School. I plan on attending college at UCONN. In my free time I enjoy being outside and playing sports.
Colleen Welch- Program Leader
Hi my name is Colleen Welch. I am a new program leader in the 4th ‘R’ program at Eli Terry School. I live in South Windsor and besides being a 4th ‘R’ staff member, I also work at Wapping Elementary School. I am looking forward to getting to know the children, parents, and working with the wonderful Eli Terry 4th ‘R’ staff.
Evan Connolly- Program Leader
My name is Evan and I'm a Program Aide. I'm currently a senior at South Windsor High School. This is my first year at 4th "R" and I'm really liking it! During the summers I work at an overnight summer camp.
