Veterans Memorial Park Pool is an award winning recreational facility that offers an assortment of programs for the community to enjoy. We provide picnic areas, swimming and limited concessions. All of our lifeguards, as well as our Water Safety Instructors, are trained and certified by the American Red Cross. They are a group of qualified professionals that are there to help people safely enjoy the water.

Please review and respect all pool rules and regulations as they are there for everyone's safety and well being. If you have any questions regarding our rules and regulations, please make sure you talk to a supervisor on duty.

Public Swim Hours

Tuesdays & Thursdays 7:00am-8:45am(adult lap swim, 6/28-7/29)

Saturday & Sunday 11:00am -6:30pm

Parking

VMP has both a front and rear parking lot.  To improve traffic flow when driving through the front parking lot, we ask that you please follow and abide by the ONE WAY directional arrows and NO PARKING signage in the facility. Please also note, if the "rear gate closed" sign is up, only the front gate is open, and visitors must park and enter through the front gate. Rates

Group and Day Care Visits

The South Windsor Recreation Department asks all visiting groups to abide by and use this system. The group visit system is in place to help the department with daily visitor planning and tracking. By knowing in advance the number of people expected, we can better prepare for what may become an extremely busy day. Group Visit forms will be available in the Recreation Department Main Office, online, or at VMP. Interested parties must return completed forms and payment to the Recreation Department or VMP no later than 5 business days prior to the event. All groups will be given a dated voucher for each person in your party at VMP on the day of the visit. We ask there be a ratio of 1 supervisor to 8 children for group visits and 1 supervisor to 6 children for day care visits.

To be considered for a group rate you must have a minimum of 25 people in the group and a minimum of 3 children to be considered for a day care rate. As a service to you, children with group visits can be swim tested by the Head Guard in order to identify any non-swimmers at the group supervisor's request. The swim test will consist of swimming one 25 yard length of the competitive pool. All children must complete the lap without touching the bottom of the pool or lane lines and without needing assistance from the lifeguard that is testing the group. Group Rates:

Resident Flat Rate (for at least 25 people): $120 $2/each resident over 25 people Non-Resident Flat Rate (for at least 25 people): $135 $3/each resident over 25 people Day Care Visits: $2 each resident child (not available for non-residents)

Supervisors must pay the regular rate.

Group rates will not be honored on the day of event!  All group and day care visits must fill out the form and make payment 5 business days in advance of event.
