Private Swim Lessons are offered for both adult and child instruction. You may sign up for an individual lesson (one-on-one) or pair up with a friend or sibling within one level of each other. Private Lessons are limited to two participants per class and will be offered throughout the day (morning, afternoon, and evening). Each class consists of eight thirty-minute lessons. The pre-session and Saturday session will consist of four sixty-minute lessons. Registration will be on a first come, first served basis. If you would like to share a lesson with another family you may split the fee of the lesson, however the full fee is due at the time of registration. You may only register one additional household. Instructors will vary from session to session. We cannot honor requests for instructors.

The $10 discount for pass members is only available after pool membership passes have been purchased. You must purchase or renew your passes before registering for swim lessons to receive the discount.

If you are signing up more than one person for the private lesson, PLEASE FULLY COMPLETE THE QUESTION THAT ASKS FOR THE SECOND PERSONS INFORMATION. We need all the sections completed, including name,age, address, and phone.

Note: If the lesson you want is full, please call the Recreation Department (860)648-6355 and ask to be put on the waitlist. Frequently, we are able to accomodate the waitlist.

Make-Up Policy:

We will make up one private lesson due to weather or a personal conflict. The instructor will contact you to set up a time and day that are mutually agreed upon. Therefore, beyond the one allowed missed class, we will only prorate missed classes if the pool must close.
