Paws in the Park

May 2nd is for the dogs – literally! It’s the 4th annual Paws in the Park. Last years event raised over $2,500 for the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation. This year proceeds from the event are being shared by the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation and the South Windsor Bark Park. Bring your dog by the Rotary Pavilion at Nevers Park for a wide variety of attractions, vendors, demonstrations, food and contests featuring our canine buddies.

Join Wendie Steele of Country 92.5 and her dog Caleb for an exercise walk at 10am. Throughout the day there will be demonstrations presented by Fidelco, DAWGS (Disaster and Wilderness Ground Searches) and others, plus plenty of contests for your dogs to participate in including loudest barker, best trick, owner/dog look alike and the adorable costume contest featuring celebrity judges Jeannine Jersey from 96.5 WTIC FM and NBC 30’s Ryan Hanrahan.. Children’s games and activities will be provided by State Farm Insurance and the South Windsor Recreation Department. There is no admission charge!
