The Park and Recreation Commission is looking forward to the upcoming year and the many projects being considered for future development. Over the next 5 to 7 years our goals include planning for:

• Splash Pad (site to be determined)
• Off-Leash Dog Park (at Nevers Park)
• Skate-Board Park (site to be determined)
• Walking Trails (Rye Street Park)
• Walking Trails connecting parks in town (proposed)
• Cricket Playing Field (proposed)
• Concession/Storage/Restroom Facility (Rye Street Park)

These are all part of our 10 year master plan, with improvements and adjustments being made as the need arises. We are looking for ideas and input from residents as we develop new recreation opportunities for the town of South Windsor. We believe these projects can help as you ‘Discover the Benefits’ of staying active. We hope you also get involved by bringing ideas and proposals to the Commission as it continues this work.
