Trailblazers (Ages 5-9)

2019 Information Available Soon!

**PLEASE NOTE**
Trailblazers will be held at Wapping Parks & Recreation Facility this year!

Trailblazers

ACA Accredited. Welcome to Trailbalzers! Here, you will find a similar set up to our original Camp Discovery on a more intimate scale. Trailblazers is perfect for a child who enjoys to play games, stay active, and prefers to socialize in smaller settings.

This camp fills each day wit active games, sports, arts & crafts, teamwork and group interaction. Campers will generally swim at the VMP Pool twice a week, plus go on exciting weekly field trips, and see spectacular entertainers. Add to that a first-rate staff focused on safety and ensuring campers make the most of each day, and you have a recipe for one amazing summer!

This camp is open to residents of South Windsor only.  Camp fills quickly, so be sure to register early.

Age Requirements

If your child is during 5 during a camp week, they can sign up for Trailblazers starting that session. If your child is turning 10 during a camp week, they can attend Trailblazers until that week is over.

Cost

Cost of camp is TBD per week, based on a 5-day week. Payment plans available online.

About the Director

The director of Trailblazers this summer will be Kristina Russo. Kristina has been with South Windsor Parks and Recreation since 2014. She has worked as a counselor and Assistant Director at Camp Discovery, and was the Director of Trailblazers last summer. Kristina received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Anna Maria College as well as playing basketball at the collegiate level for all four years. She is currently in a Special Education Masters Program at The University of Saint Joseph. Kristina enjoys watching and playing sports. Her favorite sports teams are the Red Sox, New England Patriots, and Boston Bruins. If Kristina could travel anywhere it would be Italy. Kristina’s favorite snack is guacamole and chips! I am excited and can’t wait for a great summer!
